What BaySpace is, and isn't

Most file-sharing tools want an account, a plan, and a permanent home for your data. BaySpace does the opposite: drop a file, get a link, send the link, and let the file disappear. No sign-up, no dashboard of things you forgot you uploaded — just a transfer with a built-in expiry date.

Every upload is given a 24-hour lifespan. A scheduled task runs hourly, removes anything past its expiry from both storage and the database, and doesn't keep a copy anywhere else. Once a link is gone, it's gone.

• No account or email is ever required to upload or download.
• Share links use a short, random identifier — not the file's original name, not a counter.
• The uploader's IP address is retained privately, only to act on abuse reports before a file expires.
• Nothing is indexed, listed, or made discoverable — a file only exists to whoever has its link.

BaySpace is built for quick, disposable transfers — not long-term or compliance-grade storage. Treat it the way you'd treat a note passed under a door: useful, temporary, and not meant to be the only copy of something you can't afford to lose.
